Welcome to the Lean 6 Sigma Factory ("L6SF"). Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing any courses, accessing training modules, or registering an account on our platform.

🔒 PROJECT CONFIDENTIALITY & NON-DISCLOSURE INTEGRATION
Critical Note for Candidates and Corporate Sponsors: Lean 6 Sigma Factory operates under a strict, automatic non-disclosure standard. By accepting these Terms of Service at checkout, you and your employing organization explicitly agree to and are fully protected by our standing Project Confidentiality Commitment. This guarantees that all business data, value stream maps, operational metrics, and process artifacts submitted during your training and certification cycle remain strictly private, secure, and legally protected.
1. Contractual Relationship
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you" or "the Customer"), and Adam Maurer, operating as a Trabalhador Independente under Portuguese law, holding Tax Number (NIF) 302065709, and trading under the commercial brand name Lean 6 Sigma Factory (hereinafter referred to as "L6SF", "the Instructor", or "we").
2. Services Provided
L6SF provides professional Lean Six Sigma training, mentoring, and certification programs (including Yellow Belt and Green Belt courses). Depending on the course purchased, registration provides access to scheduled instructor-led virtual training or self-paced online training through our learning portal. Course access includes the applicable training materials, examinations, and project requirements for the selected certification.
3. Payment, Taxes, and Fees
All training purchases are processed through secure payment services provided by Stripe. Course prices are stated in Euros (€). The applicable tax treatment is determined at checkout based on the customer’s billing address, customer type, and any VAT or Tax Identification Number provided.
Where VAT or other applicable taxes are due, the applicable amount is calculated and added to the course price. Where a valid reverse-charge mechanism, exemption, or other applicable tax treatment applies, VAT may not be charged by Lean 6 Sigma Factory.
The applicable taxes and the total amount payable are displayed at checkout before payment is completed. Customers are responsible for providing accurate billing and tax information. Access to active course materials is contingent upon successful settlement of the total amount due at checkout.
4. Self-Paced Course Access and Availability
Self-paced courses are designed to be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access may occasionally be interrupted by scheduled maintenance, technical issues, security updates, service disruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability of the learning platform. We will take reasonable steps to restore access when interruptions occur.
5. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Instructor-led Virtual Courses: Due to the live interactive nature and limited operational capacity of our scheduled cohort blocks, requests for seat cancellations or registration transfers must be submitted via email at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the first official scheduled class session. No refunds will be authorized once live group instruction cycles have actively commenced.
Self-Paced Courses: Once you log into the training portal, your order cannot be cancelled and no refund will be provided, except where required by mandatory applicable law. Where a cancellation or refund is accepted or required, access to the training portal will be suspended immediately and your portal credentials will be deactivated. Any statutory withdrawal rights will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection law.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
Unless explicitly indicated otherwise, all training curriculums, lecture materials, diagnostic templates, software spreadsheets, and system code architectures are the proprietary property of L6SF. Candidates are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-user license to utilize these frameworks solely for personal professional development or internal optimization of their individual employer's processes.
7. Certification Requirements
Enrollment or attendance in a course does not automatically guarantee certification. Upon passing the applicable examination, candidates receive a Letter of Completion. To obtain the full Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certificate, candidates must also submit the required improvement project and meet the applicable certification requirements. Instructor-led candidates must fulfill the applicable attendance requirements and project submission deadlines. Self-paced candidates must complete the applicable course requirements and submit the required improvement project, with no deadline for self-paced project submissions. The full Certificate is issued only after the required project has been submitted and approved.
Non-Payment, Cancellation, Refunds, and Certification Status: If an order remains unpaid, is cancelled, or is refunded, access to the training associated with that order will be suspended, and any Letter of Completion or Certificate issued in connection with that order will be revoked. These consequences apply to the training and certification associated with the affected order.
8. Governing Law and Legal Disputes
These Terms, along with your registration configuration, shall be construed, interpreted, and governed exclusively by Portuguese Law. Any dispute, litigation, or legal claim arising from your relationship with L6SF shall be brought exclusively before the Judicial Court of the District of Funchal, Portugal, with all parties explicitly waiving alternative geographic or legal forums.
